Hi my name is Candice Koh. I am currently a freshman attending RobertMorrisUniversity in downtown Chicago. I am from California and will be going back this upcoming weekend for the rest of the summer and will come back for a week in early June and then for the school year in mid August. I am looking for a female Christian roommate to share a nice one bedroom one bath condo in downtown Chicago at the Park Millennium condos located on 222 Columbus Dr., starting from around mid Aug, 2011. This 52 story modern and safe complex is located right next to the Fairmont Hotel with bus stops just around the corner. It also has a grocery store that is connected to the building called Bockwinkle’s (the price range is reasonable). There is a dish washer, washing machine and a dryer in room. There is also a 24 hour door person, a media room/study room with internet access and fitness center (with full size indoor lap pool). The rent will be $700/month all expenses included. You do need to have some furniture for yourself (a bed- twin sized? and a desk if you need one). If you are interested please let me know. Good Friday Service – starts at 7:00 PM at The Meeting Place; ends at 8:00 PM in silence and darkness
Holy Saturday Fast – begins at sundown on Friday and goes until we gather again on Easter morning; you choose how you want to do this (i.e. fast from solid food, red meat, sweets, media, etc…) as a way to dedicate more time to prayer and meditation on Christ’s sufferings
Easter Sunday Service – potluck breakfast at 9:30 AM followed by service at 10:45 AM; Sunday Evening Prayer Meeting cancelled
Crystal is giving away a free bookcase and was wondering if anyone from Immanuel would like it. They would have to pick it up and transport it themselves. Picture is attached.
