This Sunday after our regular service there will be a Mission Class.

This is for all those who have been attending Immanuel for a while and want to join. If that’s you, be sure to go through Joining the Mission ahead of time.

This is also for any current members who want a refresh on what they’ve signed up for. What does it mean, again, to be a part of a church… part of Immanuel?

If you’re planning to come, RSVP to info at Immanuel dash Baptist dot net so we know how much food to plan for.

Here’s a quick rundown of upcoming events:

· TODAY: Joint Outreach at The Meeting Place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM

· TOMORROW: Table Talk after service on Pro-Life!? Then co-ed shower for Ryan & Bethany at Simone’s at 6:00 PM

· May 1: All Church Prayer Meeting from 6:45 to 8:00 PM.

· May 4: 2nd Annual UIC Area Fun Run for International Missions. Race starts at 9:00 AM. All proceeds go to International Missions. More details to come…

· May 5: Mission Class for all those interested in membership or wanting a refresher on what it means to join the mission.

· July 26-28: Summer Retreat!!

You may want to check the Lost & Found at The Meeting Place this Sunday to see if anything there is yours. Anything not claimed this week will be donated.

On the third Sunday of every month after our gathered worship we have a round table discussion of some topic touching on theology. Food is provided. It’s called Table Talk (after the famous conversations that happened in Martin Luther’s home).

This month the topic is Pro-Life!? What does the Bible have to say about abortion, euthanasia, and a whole host of related ethical issues? How should Christians think of and be involved in these causes? Is it just your ‘evangelical’ parents’ generation’s issue?

If you want read something to stir your interest, check this out.

See you this Sunday!

You are invited to join us as we celebrate Ryan and Bethany’s upcoming marriage! This is a co-ed, family friendly celebration… All are welcome!

The first Wednesday of every month is Prayer Meeting from 6:45 to 8:00 PM at The Meeting Place.

This Wednesday (4/3) will be focused on praying for the global cause of Christ. We will have the privilege of having two of our missionaries be with us – Peter & Lydia and Brian & Melissa! We’ll be hearing from them and focusing on praying for the advance of the gospel through their ministries.
