Hi !

I am looking for volunteers to help with childcare on the retreat. I expect to have some needs for babysitting of little ones and then some simple lessons and activities for older ones. If you are planning to be at the retreat and willing to help with this, please let me know. I will plan the lessons and assemble supplies. Thanks!

Want a chance to look at the beautiful stars, eat some food cooked over a fire, and laugh with friends?

Friday, July 26th, through Sunday, July 28th, we will unite as a community to enjoy Christ and each other in a different setting! Join us as we head to Streator Baptist Camp in Streator, IL.

Cost is $85/adult and $15/child

Includes: Friday night campfire snacks, meals Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon, bedding and towels, Saturday night campfire snacks, and the much loved “greased watermelon” festivities!

If you want to come, but the cost doesn’t fit into your budget, please come anyway! Just let Nathan or Cyndi know.

If you can’t make it for any other festivities, come join us Sunday morning as our normal services will be held at the camp and NOT at The Meeting Place.

Checks can be made payable to IBC and given to Cyndi at the retreat.

If you have yet to RSVP or have any questions, please contact Cyndi at koinonia ASAP!

Please RSVP no later than July 15th.

Hi IBC family!

As you all know, we are moving away this weekend, never to return! (that’s a lie. We’ll be back.)

We are packing up the truck Saturday morning, and would love help loading boxes. We’re planning on one huge moving party between 9:00 and 11:00 am on Saturday…it shouldn’t take much longer than that, and will, most likely, not even take that long! If you can lend a hand or two, and some backs and knees, we’d really appreciate it!

We can offer gentle bribes of coffee and donuts.

Call Braden or Christy if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or generally want to chat about life.

Thank you!

~ Braden and Christy

Happy Fourth of July!

If you weren’t able to be at Prayer Meeting last night, here’s a video we used to launch us into prayer. Take twenty minutes and watch it by yourself, or with your roommates, or family. And remember that Jesus is supreme over everything, including America.

This Wednesday is the first Wednesday of July. Come to The Meeting Place at 6:45 PM for All-Church Prayer Meeting!

If you’re looking for something new to listen to this summer, you can buy John Rood’s new, self-titled album Roodimentary Sciences at iTunes, Google Play, or Amazon MP3.

It’s fun music and a great way to support an artist in our church!

This Sunday (7/7), immediately following the Sunday morning service we will head over to Arrigo Park for a picnic potluck to say goodbye to two wonderful IBC couples – Christy & Braden and Shannon & Andy.

Please bring picnic food to share with your family and the church, as well as any picnic chairs/blankets and outdoor games (Frisbee, etc) to join in the farewell party. IBC will provide hot dogs/buns and drinks.

If you have a small grill on which we can cook hot dogs, please bring it and contact Cyndi to let her know!

If you have any questions….or a grill….please contact Cyndi at koinonia.
