Even though Thanksgiving is still on the horizon, the Christmas Party is just around the corner!

When: Friday, December 6 @ 6:30pm

Where: The Meeting Place

Why: Because we love Christmas!

There will be a chili cook-off, so make a batch of your best recipe! Winner will receive a prize 🙂

The children will be performing a small play written by our very own Lawrie!

Hot chocolate bar, cookie decorating, and possibly caroling will be part of this fun-packed night!

So mark your calendars because you don’t want to miss this year’s party!

Also, throughout the month of December we will be collecting non-perishable food items to create a food pantry for the Outreach. All donated food will be stored at The Meeting Place and will help to provide meals for our neighbors who hang out in the park behind our building.

If you have any questions, please contact Cyndi at koinonia.

Anne-Marie is leaving this Sunday and has the following items to give away before then:

– Target dressers (yes, the plastic drawers)

– Twin mattress / box spring / steel frame – no signs of use (mattress cover has been used the entire time)

– coffee table with runner (56×20 inches), does show some wear

– desk and chair (simple design, doesn’t take much room and is fairly light)

– two floor lamps (one year old, no signs of use)

Please contact her if interested. You would need to come and pick it up.

Hey Immanuel,

We are hosting a potluck style Thanksgiving at our house again this year and want to invite anyone at the church who will be around that day. We’ll start at 2:00 PM and it will last all afternoon/evening so come and go as you please. Please RSVP if you can. All are welcome!

Thanks,

Cassie

Save the Date for the IBC Christmas Party!

Friday, December 6 at The Meeting Place

Details to come!

If you can make it the Outreach tomorrow, that would be great! We go share food and the gospel with our neighbors behind The Meeting Place. 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Contact outreach with questions.

This Sunday is the third Sunday of the month and that means Table Talk.

Stick around for lunch and discussion. The topic is: Ordinary vs. Radical: What is the normal Christian life? If you want some advanced reading, check out this blog post.

If you can RSVP so we can have an idea for food, that would be helpful. If not, you can still come.

Immanuel Men,

Just a reminder that this Sunday (11/10) after the service of worship you are invited over to Andy S’s house for food, fellowship, and football. If you know you’ll be there, shoot Andy an email so he can get an idea for food.

Tomorrow (11/6) is the first Wednesday of November and that means All-Church Prayer Meeting.

If you can, please try to be at The Meeting Place by 6:45 PM so we can start and end on time.

Set your clocks back one hour tonight before bed!
