This Wednesday (7/2) will be our regular All-Church Prayer Meeting from 6:45 to 8:00 PM at The Meeting Place. See you there!

Megan is having a going away BBQ Saturday, July 12th, at 6:00 PM. She’ll provide the grilling stuff and sides. Bring drinks! She would love to hang out with IBC people before she moves to Purdue!

The Waglers’ car got stolen last night and they currently have a rental car. They were wondering if anyone at church might have a car seat they are not using (preferably one without bed bugs).

Contact them if you can help.

Can anyone give the Ennises a ride to Midway airport this Sunday, June 29th, at 8:30 AM? They’re also looking for someone to pick them up on Saturday, July 5th, at 4:00 PM. You could use their car if need be and drive it back to their place.

If so, contact Tracy.

The time has come to say farewell to the Bensons. They will be moving to Louisville, KY, next week to pursue Master’s degrees from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Immediately following the service THIS Sunday, June 29th, please join us for prayer and a bagel bar to send them off.

We will provide the bagels. Please bring sandwich toppings to share.

If you have any questions please contact Cyndi at koinonia at immanuel dash baptist dot net.

PRELUDE – “Oh God” by Citizens

WELCOME & CALL TO WORSHIP –

“May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine upon us that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples justly and guide the nations of the earth. May the peoples praise you, O God; may all the peoples praise you. Then the land will yield its harvest, and God, our God, will bless us. God will bless us, and all the ends of the earth will fear him.” – Psalm 67

Oh Our Lord” by David Leonard, Leslie Jordan, Paul Baloche

CONFESSION OF SIN –

Most merciful God,

we confess that we have sinned against You

in thought, word, and deed,

by what we have done,

and by what we have left undone.

We have not loved You with our whole heart;

we have not love our neighbors as ourselves.

We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.

For the sake of Your Son Jesus Christ,

have mercy on us and forgive us;

that we may delight in Your will,

and walk in Your ways,

to the glory of Your Name. Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON –

May God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” make his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ Jesus who has saved us from all our sin.

Amen.

Married or Soon-to-be-Married Couples at Immanuel:

Family Life is doing a one day event on Saturday, August 2nd, at the Allstate Arena called I Still Do. Andrea and I went to a Family Life Weekend to Remember Conference many years ago and though some aspects of these types of things can be cheesy, overall we found it was a really helpful time. We are planning to go to this and wanted to invite along couples from church. It would be great to hang out together while thinking about our marriages.

Let me know if you’re interested. If we get 5 couples we can get a group rate – about $40 for the day and a lunch!

For the Sake of the Name,

Nathan

Here are some details for the Women’s camping trip THIS Friday, June 27!

Bethany will be headed down around 2:30, so if a couple people want to leave earlier with her, just let her know!

Everyone else, meet at Cyndi’s apartment at 6:30 (ready to LEAVE at 7:00!). We will need a couple of people to drive, so please let me know if you are willing.

What to bring: Sleeping bag, pillow, beach towel, swim suit, tennis shoes!

If you would like to contribute a snack, please do! We will have hot dogs and s’mores Friday night, and fruit and eggs for breakfast Saturday.

If you have hot dog/marshmallow roasting sticks, bring them!

Also, if you have a cooler, please reach out to me so we can pack up food!

For any questions, or to RSVP if you still haven’t, contact Cyndi at koinonia at immanuel dash baptist dot net.

Hi Everyone,

The Summer Retreat is less than a month away! If you are interested in helping with childcare at the Retreat, please let me know. I will prepare the lessons and supplies. You just have to come to the Retreat and get your instructions there. 🙂 Thanks!

Did you remember that every Sunday morning there’s a group of people that get together to jog the neighborhood and meet others? They start at 8:00 AM at the UIC Forum.

Go to Meetup.com and sign up for the ‘UIC Area Fitness’ group if that’s your thing.
