PRELUDE – “10,000 Reasons” by Matt Redman
WELCOME & CALL TO WORSHIP – Daniel 4:34-35
Then I praised the Most High;
I honored and glorified him who lives forever.
His dominion is an eternal dominion;
his kingdom endures from generation to generation.
All the peoples of the earth
are regarded as nothing.
He does as he pleases
with the powers of heaven
and the peoples of the earth.
No one can hold back his hand
or say to him: “What have you done?”
Let’s stand and worship the sovereign Lord who reigns.
SONG –
“Come Praise and Glorify” by Bob Kauflin and Tim Chester
CONFESSION OF SIN –
Almighty God, we acknowledge and confess that we have sinned against you
in thought, word, and deed;
we have not loved you with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength;
we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves.
Deepen within us our sorrow for the wrong we have done, and the good we have left undone. Lord, you are full of compassion and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy;
there is always forgiveness with you!
Restore to us the joy of your salvation; bind up that which is broken,
give light to our minds, strength to our wills, and rest to our souls.
Speak to each of us, and let your word abide with us
until it has wrought in us your holy will.
Amen.
(Moment of Silence)

Come and see what God has done:
he is awesome in his deeds toward the children of man.
He turned the sea into dry land;
they passed through the river on foot.

who rules by his might forever,
Let’s stand and worship the Lord who rules by his might forever.

CONFESSION OF SIN – Isaiah 53:6
The prophet Isaiah writes in Isa. 53:6,
All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
As we come before the Lord in worship, let’s take a moment to repent of our sins and return to the shepherd of our souls.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON – John 10:12-15
Hear this assurance of pardon from John 10:12-15.
Jesus says,
He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep,
sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees,
and the wolf snatches them and scatters them.
He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.
I am the good shepherd.
I know my own and my own know me,
just as the Father knows me and I know the Father;
and I lay down my life for the sheep.

CONFESSION OF SIN – Book of Common Prayer
ALMIGHTY and most merciful Father;
We have erred, and strayed from thy ways like lost sheep.
We have followed too much the devices and desires of our own hearts.
We have offended against thy holy laws.
We have left undone those things which we ought to have done;
And we have done those things which we ought not to have done;
And there is no health in us.
But thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable offenders.
Spare thou those, O God, who confess their faults.
Restore thou those who are penitent;
According to thy promises declared unto mankind In Christ Jesus our Lord.
And grant, O most merciful Father, for his sake;
That we may hereafter live a godly, righteous, and sober life,
To the glory of thy holy Name.
Amen.
ASSURANCE OF PARDON – Ezekiel 36:25-28
Hear this Assurance of Pardon from Ezekiel 36:25-28
I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean;
I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols.
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you;
I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.
And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees
and be careful to keep my laws.
Then you will live in the land I gave your ancestors; you will be my people,
and I will be your God.

CONFESSION OF SIN –
Let’s confess our sins together by praying this prayer aloud
God of love, it is your will that we should love you with heart, soul, mind, strength,
and our neighbor as ourselves,
but we are not sufficient for these things.
We confess that our affections continually turn away from you:
from purity to lust, from freedom to slavery,
from compassion to indifference, from fullness to emptiness.
Have mercy on us.
Order our lives by your holy Word, and make your commandments the joy of our hearts. Conform us to the image of your loving Son, Jesus,
that we may shine before the world to your glory.
Amen.
