PRELUDE – “Lion and the Lamb” by Leeland
WELCOME & CALL TO WORSHIP – From Col. 2:13-14; Ps. 32:11
Grace and peace to you who were dead in your sins,
For God has made you alive with Christ and forgiven all your sins.
Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous;
sing, all you who are now upright in heart
Let’s stand and sing to the God who has made us alive with Christ
SONG –

CONFESSION OF SIN – (From Isa. 55:7; and Mic. 7:18)
Let the wicked forsake his way
And the evil man his thoughts.
Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him,
And to our God, for he will freely pardon.
In light of his kingdom, God declares that all sinners can turn from their crooked ways and come to him for mercy and forgiveness. Let’s take a moment and examine our lives and humbly pray and ask for the Lord to forgive us and cleanse us.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON – (From the Heidelberg Catechism Question 60)
Congregation reads answer aloud.
60. How are you righteous before God?
Only by true faith in Jesus Christ; that is, although my conscience accuse me, that I have grievously sinned against all the commandments of God, and have never kept any of them, and am still prone always to all evil; yet God without any merit of mine, of mere grace, grants and imputes to me the perfect satisfaction, righteousness, and holiness of Christ, as if I had never committed nor had any sin, and had myself accomplished all the obedience which Christ has fulfilled for me; if only I accept such benefit with a believing heart.
