Hey IBC Family,

This email is to follow-up on last Sunday’s announcement about the Just Gospel Conference. If you’re interested please contact Randle. He needs to get a head count to the leadership of Berean Bible Baptist Church (the church Randle interned at as a Moody student) of those IBC members who desire to come. Once we finalize the number of IBC members going then more information regarding logistics will soon follow.

This will be a memorable time of fellowship in Atlanta so let’s try to make our decisions to attend by: November 21st.

There are a couple events coming up that IBCers will be attending and wanted to invite the whole church along. These would be good ways to continue the conversation about race that we started at the Retreat and the last Table Talk.

THIS Thursday (10/27) some people from the West Pilsen Small Group are going to a conversation hosted by two hip hop artists – Propaganda and Sho Baraka – on compassion, unity, race, faith, and the church. Check it out here and let Jonathan know ASAP if you’re interested in going with.

Next March 16-18 there is a conference in Atlanta called Just Gospel that will explore whether the biblical gospel has anything to say about biblical justice in the face of continuing social problems. Let Randle know if you’re interested. His family is going down and would love others to join.

The third Sunday of every month is Table Talk and that means free lunch for everyone!

And every third Table Talk has an optional seminar tagged on at the end. We’ve covered such topics as “Do Christians and Muslims Worship the Same God?” and “Transgenderism.”

This Sunday Randle will be leading a session on “The Black Lives Matter Movement!”

Definitely plan to stick around for food after the service. And if you can, stay for the seminar.

Our Round Table discussion on Race is this Sunday night at 5:00 PM.

The location has changed to the Carters’ house.

We still have a couple more slots available for this important and timely topic.

Immanuel will be hosting a joint conversation with Legacy Christian Fellowship on the topic of cultural differences in light of current events. It will be on Sunday, March 15th, at 5:00 PM at the Avinks’ house. We’re trying to assemble a diverse group of a dozen or so people who are willing to openly discuss issues of race and culture, with the goal of mutual learning and understanding. If you’re interested in coming or want more information, email info at immanuel dash baptist dot net.
